Application of liquid helium (He) in nuclear magnetic resonance (MRI)
Liquid helium can be used for ultra-low temperature cooling by using its low boiling point of -268.9 ° C. The ultra-low temperature cooling technology has a wide range of applications in the field of superconducting technology, because superconducting materials need to be at ultra-low temperatures to show superconducting properties, in most cases only liquid helium can be relatively simple to achieve such extremely low temperatures. Argon knife
Argon knife is a new product and technology in clinical application in recent years. When the high frequency and high voltage electrode of the argon knife outputs the cutting current, the argon gas is emitted from the nozzle at the electrode root, forming an argon gas isolation layer around the electrode, isolating the oxygen around the electrode from the electrode, thus reducing the contact with the oxygen around the electrode and oxidation reaction, and reducing the degree of large amount of heat generation. Due to the reduction of oxidation reaction heat generation, the temperature of the electrode is lower, so there is less smoke during cutting, and the tissue scald necrotic layer is shallow. In addition, due to less oxidation reaction, the amount of electric energy converted into invalid heat energy is reduced, so that the high-frequency electric energy output by the electrode is concentrated on cutting, which improves the cutting speed and enhances the cutting effect on high-impedance tissues (such as fat and tendon), thus forming the high-frequency electric cutting covered by argon gas.
